Merabu
Merabu has a very strong desire and determination to study nursing and also love to learn more about how the human body functions and sustains itself. Her parents rely on agriculture while her mother supplements the farming activities by running a small restaurant. Supporting Merabu in her journey to study nursing spreads to the community were she will be an extra source of hope in the health sector of Kaberamaido and Uganda.
Merabu is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing degree at the Mengo School of Nursing and Midwifery, completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in June 2027.

Patricia
Patricia is a certified and licensed midwife from Mengo School of nursing where she was awarded a work license in 2022 after attaining her certificate in midwifery.
She worked as a volunteer in the maternity ward at Komamboga health center for eight months then relocated back home to take care of her ill mother. In the Kaberamaido district hospital she worked as a charge nurse in the clinic and later obtained the opportunity to work with POPOW as a project Nurse.
Her determination to broaden her knowledge and gain skills in midwifery is so strong in order to be able to manage and treat mothers and infants even better.
Patricia Is pursuing a Extension Diploma in Midwifery degree at the Mengo School of Nursing and Midwifery- completing a 1 ½ year program. She will graduate in December 2025.

Eunice
After her senior level our she expressed her interest in nursing to her father and on knowing this he said he felt proud of her decision but yet shaken because he could not afford all the sums of money needed at nursing school. Mr. Agustus obtained a loan in order to have her kickstart her career path although it hasn’t been an easy one as his still battling to have it cleared and so no sure whether he will get the rest of her tuition so that she can be allowed to sit her exams.
Eunice Is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing at the Uganda Christian Institute School of Nursing and Midwifery completing a 2½ year certificate program. She will graduate in December 2026.

Lawrence
Lawrence completed a certificate in Nursing by March, 2021. Due to that he was able to serve thousands of patients within and outside Kaberamaido and his currently attached to Healing Grace Medical Centre Kaberamaido as nurse therefore putting his knowledge into practice and assisting in providing medical care to the general communities of Kaberamaido town council and beyond.
Lawrence Is pursuing a Diploma in Nursing degree at the Jerusalem School of Nursing and Midwifery-Lira completing a 1 ½ year certificate program. He will graduate in June 2026.

Catherine
She’s currently in pursing her course and she managed to pay half of her tuition through the money she had saved during the period of 2 years while she was working at the health facility and gained more experience, Catherine is inspired in midwifery because she finds assisting in child birth to be a rewarding activity and a special calling when supporting women during this significant life event hence creating a close interpersonal relationship with families and providing emotional and physical support throughout pregnancy, labor and post-partum..
Catherine Is pursuing a Diploma in Nursing degree at the Soroti School of Comprehensive Nursing (Extension) completing a 1 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in December 2025.

Tracy
Tracy expressed her desire to obtain a career in the nursing field hence driving her to perform excellently amongst the science subjects. Her passion in the course is also attributed to her love in serving the community in regards to health care while educating and sensitizing the communities various ways of avoiding disease outbreaks like cholera, Malaria hence promoting healthy living although the cost to sustain her through the course is looking uncertain.
Tracy Is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing degree at the International Institute of Health sciences (JINJA) completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. She will graduate in December 2026.

Martha
Martha is committed in pursing her nursing career as she’s truly advocated in improving the health care systems right down to her communities. While growing up, her mother used to work in the clinic and whenever she used to stay with her at her workplace, she used to always admire the nurses, clinic setup and got a chance of learning minor processes and procedures of handling patients hence motivating her to achieve that career path.
Martha Is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing degree at the Rwenzori School of Nursing and Midwifery completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. He will graduate in December 2026.

Moreen
Since she was young, she has been seeing people in the community suffer from problems associated to poor healthcare hence over time learning the importance of proper hygiene, disinfecting surfaces and wearing personal protecting equipment to minimize infections risks and other communicable diseases. She has a strong background / knowledge in measuring and noticing signs, identifying changes in health status and communicating to their village health team (VHT’s). Her passion for health care right from a childhood has contributed to her determination and focus to purse a certificate in nursing from Uganda Christian Institute school of nursing and midwifery although she faces a big challenge in regards her school tuition.
Moreenis pursuing a Certificate in Nursing at the Uganda Christian Institute School of Nursing and Midwifery completing a 2½ year certificate program. She will graduate in December 2027.

Isaac
He started expressing his love for the course way back in lower secondary school and his very much interested to purse the course in order to promote good health amongst the communities especially living in the flood basin as they’re very much exposed to diseases like typhoid, Cholera, Malaria etc. and also affected by water borne diseases hence witnessing all this health challenges growing inspired him to love a career in Nursing.
Isaac Is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing degree at the Master Ecclesiae school of Nursing and Midwifery Luwero completing a 2 ½ year certificate program. He will graduate in December 2027.

Benjamin
His decision to undertake nursing is derived in acquiring basic skill and knowledge enabling him serve his community through giving advice, consultations, control and treating several diseases within his community while encouraging them to promote good hygiene and sanitation from their door steps hence reducing on the emergence of various diseases like cholera, and typhoid
Benjamin is pursuing a Certificate in Nursing at the JMaster Ecclesiae school of Nursing and Midwifery Luwero completing a 2½ year certificate program. He will graduate in December 2026.
